The caps of all silver Optima pens are made of solid silver, whereas, the barrel in all Aurora Optima silver pens are made of solid silver, with gold-plated trims. The fountain pen features a solid gold nib and the traditional piston refill mechanism and hidden reservoir. Matching roller-ball pen and twist-action ballpoint pen is also available.
