David Oscarson Alfred Bernhard Nobel Fountain Pen - Black Silver w/ Black Barrel. The Alfred Bernhard Nobel collection is yet another limited edition of the David Oscarson writing instruments. This series is tribute to the sixty three years of Alfred Nobel’s historical life and his enduring influence around the world. Like Alfred Nobel’s Life, this series consists of two divisive elements, destruction and peace. Inspired by his invention of dynamite, this collection features an exploding stick of dynamite on the barrel, coupled with a burning fuse while the years 1833 and 1896 rest at its base. The bottom of the barrel emulates a blasting cap engraved with Swedish words Varning, Tandhattar and Fara. Four levels of Guilloche engraving are employed on the barrel depicting an explosive blast. Four colors of hard enamel are kiln fired to the surface of the barrel. The cap features pattern of a white dove, representing peace and the name of Alfred Bernhard Nobel is engraved above the white dove. The top of the crown is adorned with three crowns of Sweden. A must have writing instrument for pen lovers.
