Like other David Oscarson collection, the Harlequin also continues the spirit of artistic mastery and the tradition of Old World craftsmanship. The collection is combination of the old technique of Guilloche with the art and expertise of hard enamel. The writing instruments are hand-crafted from 18k gold and .925 sterling silver. Each and every piece is created through multiple stages of precision engraving creating an intricate pattern known as guilloche. Each Harlequin piece is decorated with three VVS-1 diamonds (.016 carats each), one in the top of the crown, one in the bottom of the barrel and one in the clip. The fountain pens take cartridge/converter/eyedropper for refills, comes with 18k gold nib plated with rhodium and tipped with iridium ensuring durability.
